More map design changes this week. The main one is making it so that players deposit souls into one main collection centre into the middle instead of into their own pens. This should encourage players together in the centre and also offer more maneuverability around the map. Also, it works as a good centrepiece for all players to orient themselves.
Last week’s level is coming together and is basically done in terms of grey-box design. The ramps by the walls are a smaller section of high ground, allowing players a potentially faster route up to the bridges.
In terms of mechanics, we’ve updated the game to Unity 6, since it’s got better support for the multiplayer elements that were previously giving us trouble during development. Along with this, we’ve now got soul stealing.
